Overview

Information Theory, Imaging and Inference (I3) Research Group is an interdepartmental group aiming at broadening the knowledge of participants and inspiring research ideas in information and communication theory, statistical imaging, and systems capable of learning, recognition and decision making.

I3 Research Group is found in September 18th 2007, extending from the Information Theory Research Group (ITRG), which was found in January 11th 2000, as a result of more faculties and students joining ITRG group meetings and introducing more research directions. Participants will be called on to present ideas in group meetings, while all meetings are open to everyone in the Washington University. Discussions are strongly encouraged, especially for new graduate students and undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a research career.
